  • Dear Me: Keep Showing Up

    Consistency is Hard

    … But I’m Learning Anyway ✨

If you remember my “Taking My Life Back” series from last fall, then you already know — I started strong with Days 1 through 3… and then life happened. Things got noisy, distractions took over, and that consistent energy? Gone.

But the desire to keep going never left. I just needed time to come back with intention.

This post isn’t a continuation it’s a check-in. A reminder to myself (and maybe to you too) that just because you paused doesn’t mean you quit.

Let’s talk about what it looks like to keep showing up, even when it’s messy, uncertain, or delayed.

Whew, let me be real for a second being consistent is not as easy as it sounds.

When I first started this journey of blogging, building my brand, chasing my dreams I came out the gate on fire. I had ideas flowing, energy high, and everything felt exciting. But after a while… life started life-ing. lbvs

The truth is, staying consistent when the excitement wears off is hard. Some days you’re tired. Some days you’re doubting yourself. Some days you’re just not “feeling it” and that’s real.

    But here’s what I’m learning:

    • Progress doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful.
    • Showing up “imperfectly” is still showing up.
    • Momentum builds quietly , sometimes it’s slower than we want, but it’s building either way.

I’m not writing this because I have it all figured out. I’m writing this because I’m still in it. I’m still choosing to start again, even after slow seasons or setbacks. And that’s something to celebrate. 🤎

If you’re in a season where it’s hard to keep going, just know: you’re not alone. Keep showing up for your future self, even if it’s a little messy. We’re in this together.

✨ Progress over perfection, always. ✨

“God doesn’t require perfection—just obedience. Keep showing up, even when it’s hard. There’s purpose in your persistence.”

  • Day 3: My life

    Day 3: My life

    Hello Beautiful People ✨

I started my day off exactly how I intended — and it felt good. This won’t be a long post, just a quick check-in to say this: some mornings really do feel like a reset.

My reading this morning reminded me that I can absolutely get back to where I want to be. It’s not too late. It’s not too far. It’s still mine.

I woke up with energy and peace. For breakfast, I made a veggie scramble, some oatmeal, and a hot cup of tea. Simple, nourishing, and exactly what I needed to ease into the day.

I want to leave you with this — a gentle reminder:

Your Happiness has to Start with You.

Not with how much you get done. Not with how perfect your routine looks. Not with what others expect. Just you — choosing joy, one small moment at a time.

    Day 2: My Morning Struggles

    Morning Struggles

Today starting off with my same old habits ugh .. I woke up with just enough time for a quick shower and off to work. I didn’t have enough time to eat breakfast. I clocked in to work one minute before the 6 minute grace period was over. I have been on go from there on… not really thinking just doing this and then that.

I did manage to make groceries which is a plus.

Meal prepping is about to be on the way soon!

I will do my readings later on tonight before I go to sleep. I am reading “The Awe of God” by John Bevere at the moment. Let me know in the comments if yall want me to give weekly reviews on the book or nah.

I still have the rest of the month to break bad habits.

Glowing Skin DIY: 3-Ingredient Facial Mask

✨ DIY Facial Glow Mask — Because Self Care Is Life

So, let’s pamper our face today.

If your skin’s been giving dull, tired, or “I need a nap and a miracle,” I got you. This quick little DIY glow-up mask is exactly what your face didn’t know it needed.

It only takes 3 ingredients, and it’s all stuff you probably already have in your kitchen: honey, oats, and plain yogurt. That’s it. That’s the glow.

    💖 Why This Works

This mask is gentle enough to use 2x a week and gives you that soft, radiant, healthy look we all love. Here’s what each ingredient brings to the table:

    • Honey → A natural humectant, packed with antioxidants and antibacterial properties. It keeps your skin clear and brings the glow.
    • Oats → Anti-inflammatory + a gentle cleanser thanks to their natural saponins. Perfect for calming and clearing the skin.
    • Plain Yogurt → Moisturizes, lightens dark spots, and helps tighten your pores thanks to its lactic acid content.

    What You’ll Need

    • 3 Tbsp plain yogurt
    • 3–4 Tbsp oats
    • 2 Tbsp honey

    🛠️ How to Make It

    1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl until it forms a smooth, thick paste.
    2. Start with a clean face — wash with a gentle cleanser.
    3. Apply the mixture using clean fingers, a brush, or a cotton round.
    4. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes.
    5. Rinse off with warm water and follow with a lightweight moisturizer.

Sis, you’re glowing. Go ahead and thank yourself today — for pausing, for pouring into you, and for giving your skin a little extra love.

  • Day 1: Taking My Life Back

Day 1: Taking My Life Back

Taking My Life Back – Day 1: A Full Reset

Hey y’all — it’s been a minute. Life has been… whew. Life-ing. Heavy, loud, messy — all of the above. But today? I’m choosing a reset.

Not a perfect one. Just a real one.

I’ve decided to share this journey — the good, the bad, and the “girl, why did I start this?” moments. I’m challenging myself to post daily for the month of November (fingers crossed, okay?) as I work to get back in rhythm.

Truth is, I haven’t felt like myself in a while. My bedroom’s a hot mess, and honestly? That whole “your space reflects your mind” thing — it’s been hitting a little too real lately. My thoughts have been all over the place. Between anxiety and trying to carry everybody else’s problems, I’ve been drained.

So I made a little plan. Nothing extreme — just structure I can stick to:

    • Wake up before 8am
    • Start the day with a devotional
    • Move my body
    • Journal what’s on my mind
    • And most importantly… don’t touch my phone until all of that is done

I’m also cutting back on social media — no scrolling during the week, just weekends. And yes, I’m bringing back meal prepping and budgeting weekly. (Pray for me 😅)

It’s a lot, I know. But I’ve got to start somewhere. This is Day 1 of me choosing myself again — on purpose.

If you’ve ever felt the need to hit the reset button on your whole life, you’re not alone. Drop a comment and let me know what helps you get back to you.

Because Self Care Is Life: Prioritize Yourself Today

    Prioritize Yourself Today

Taking care of yourself is the hardest most important thing in the world! Go back, read that again then go back and meditate on it.

Most times I find myself helping others carry their burdens. I find myself being a counselor/ therapist to family, friends,co-workers, strangers even. I’m always trying to help others better themselves. At the same time, I’m working, cleaning, and cooking. I’m fixing my credit and trying to keep up with my finances. I aim to be the best auntie, sister, and daughter. I want to watch all my TV shows and get enough sleep. I try to stay tuned with what is going on in the world. I can keep going….ugh I’m tired just thinking about all the things that I try to stay on top of.

If you do all this and more, listen. I’m here to tell you. We need to take care of OURSELVES first! Trying to manage all those different things affects your mental health. It also impacts your emotional health and physical health. I will give you some of my go to self-care tips for keeping myself healthy and going. Stay tune.
